How do you know it's a repair and not just a clog?
Both look the same from the laundry room: long dry times, a hot dryer, a lint smell. The difference is on camera. A clogged run shows packed lint in an intact duct — that's a cleaning. A broken run shows something else: a transition hose crushed flat when the dryer was pushed back, a joint that separated inside the wall cavity and has been dumping hot, damp, lint-laden air into the framing, a run assembled from taped-together scraps, or an exterior termination with a jammed flap that blocks airflow no matter how clean the duct is. Cleaning a broken vent buys you a few weeks; repairing it fixes the problem.
- Transition hose replacement — the flexible connector behind the dryer, replaced with semi-rigid metal that doesn't kink or trap lint.
- Foil accordion duct replacement — the ribbed plastic-and-foil hose is a lint trap and a fire risk, and it fails home inspections. We replace it with smooth-wall rigid metal.
- Reconnecting and sealing separated joints — including runs inside walls and ceilings, located by camera before we open anything.
- Rerouting bad runs — shortening marathon runs with too many elbows so the dryer can actually breathe.

Do you repair dryer vents or just clean them?
Both. Cleaning handles lint in an intact duct; repair handles the duct itself — crushed hoses, separated joints, code-fail foil accordion runs, broken exterior flaps, reroutes and new installations. The free video inspection determines which one your laundry actually needs, and you get a flat written quote either way.
What are the signs my dryer vent is broken rather than clogged?
Lint or moisture appearing where it shouldn't (inside a wall, ceiling stain, behind the dryer), a vent flap that never opens outside, a dryer that runs hot right after a cleaning, or visible crushing behind the dryer. On camera the difference is obvious — packed lint means clean it; gaps, kinks and collapse mean repair it.
Is foil accordion duct really a problem?
Yes — the ribbed interior traps lint at every fold, the material sags into low spots where lint packs, and it's the first thing home inspectors flag on laundry rooms. Replacing it with smooth-wall rigid metal is one of the highest-value fire-safety upgrades a home can get, and per NFPA data, failure to clean (which foil duct accelerates) is the leading factor in home dryer fires.
Can you reroute a dryer vent that's too long?
Usually, yes. Long runs with multiple elbows choke airflow — each bend costs the equivalent of several feet of straight duct. Where the structure allows, we shorten the path or reduce the elbow count so the dryer breathes properly; the camera inspection shows exactly what's possible before anything is quoted.
